Upgrading your system
Sage Accpac ERP includes a built in utility to convert your data from Accpac
Plus (the DOS product). You can convert your data from earlier versions of
Sage Accpac ERP provided certain tasks are performed before upgrading.
The General Ledger software enables the use of a mapping table to convert
your old codes to new Sage Accpac ERP codes. Sage Accpac ERP has a user
defined segmented coding structure in the General Ledger.
You may want to re-engineer your General Ledger coding structure however
if you do a conversion from Accpac Plus you can retain your account history.
Your Accpac Plus General Ledger report specifications can be converted to
run under the new Excel based Financial Reporter in Sage Accpac ERP. There
is an Account Code Change product to enable you to change your GL codes
after upgrading or if structural enhancements are necessary.
Our services cover all aspects of upgrading from all earlier versions of the
product. The upgrade process involves installing your new Sage Accpac ERP
product & the conversion of your existing data to work with this new software.
We perform all upgrades in a controlled way to ensure that we can restore back
if the process fails. Backing up your data & running data integrity checks are
essential tasks when upgrading.
